Embracing your local farmers is about more than just saving money or putting money back into our local economy. It’s also about crafting your meals around the freshest seasonal foods, tailoring your grocery list to showcase locally-sourced treasures. Eating seasonally and preserving our local foods is healthy for our bodies and our environment. Strategically planning your shopping trip for the perfect moment can turn into a fun excursion for you and the whole family that also supports your community’s growers. We at the true farmers’ markets in Kootenai County appreciate your dedication and support. We will honor that each weekend and Wednesday of the season by showing up with our produce, flowers, meats, eggs, craft goods, baked goodies, garden and landscape plants, delicious bites, live music, animal treats, smoked foods, handmade gifts, bodycare, and much more.

PoP Club Starts This Weekend!
This will be a great weekend to bring the whole family to the Market! PoP Club starts on Saturday, and the Hayden Library will be visiting at our Community Booth.

FUNDrive at the Market!
Starting April 18th, Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets are hosting a FUNDrive! And we invite you to bring and drop off used items to donate, and we will be collecting every Saturday until June 18th. You can drop off your donations at booth 69, booth 70, or the Market Manager’s booth. See below for more information and what items we are accepting.
Every donation you bring supports the farmers’ markets and our community contribution. Please feel free to ask neighbors, friends, and coworkers for donations as well. #fundrive

Humble Fields Farm: Humble Fields Farm will have a bunch of different potted gallon-sized dahlia plants, flower starts and tomato starts. We’ll also be bringing our first bouquets of spring flowers to the Saturday Market, as well as fresh pastured eggs.
Deerfield Farms: Meet the Deerfield Monster of the Week: this medium sized tomato is a representative of the Ananas Noire (or Black Pineapple, eyes not included 😄), that has a unique and pleasant flavor on the low acid/sweeter side. We will be at the market on Saturday with plenty of tomatoes, as well as duck and chicken eggs, Thunbergia (Black Eyed Susan Vines), and a few snacking cucumbers. Happy June! 👨🌾🍅👩🌾
Killarney Farms: Paul and Ellen will be at the Saturday Market with arugula, beets, broccolini, carrots, chard, green onions, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, salad mix, Asian greens, radishes, salad turnips, spinach, mountain spinach, strawberries, rhubarb, dill, cilantro, basil starts, cucumber starts, squash starts, some herb and flower starts, and raw goat’s milk and chevre cheese.

Winifred Farms: At Winifred Farms, we are excited for Campanula! Sometimes called Canterbury Bells, these amazing flowers have a vase life of almost 2 weeks. This season, we grew both light purple and white varieties. Planted in Fall in our unheated hoop house and overwintered to achieve an early crop, not only have we achieved beautiful blooms, but we are seeing stems over 3 feet long!
Our mixed bouquets this week will feature these beauties along with peonies, ranunculus, anemones, geum, orlaya, nigella and anything else that popped this week. Grower’s bunches of campanula, peonies will be stocked. It will also likely be the last of the ranunculus.
Note: If you need graduation or recital flowers, this is the place! Hope to see you Saturday – Booth #83 just across from the manager’s booth!

Mohr Lavender Please!: Mohr Lavender Please has a lavender car diffuser! Natural aromatherapy. Designed for on-the-go relaxation, it helps reduce stress and ease tension during your daily commute.
Blue Wildrye Farm: Our Bratwurst starts with our richly marbled pasture-raised pork and a blend of warm, traditional bratwurst spices including nutmeg, ginger, and white pepper. We also enrich the mixture with cream and eggs, creating a tender, juicy texture that sets these brats apart. Each sausage is stuffed into natural casings, giving them that satisfying “snap” when you bite into them. The result is savory, comforting, and deeply satisfying—the kind of sausage that feels right at home at a backyard barbecue, around a campfire, or on a weeknight dinner plate.

Serve them:
• Grilled on a bun with mustard and sauerkraut
• With roasted potatoes and onions
• Alongside a summer salad
• Sliced into skillet meals
We encourage you to pre-order to guarantee you get the Blue Wildrye products you want. Order cutoff for Saturday market pickup: Thursday at 11:59 PM before market day.
Kiss My Biscotti: Did someone say Toffee & Chocolate Biscotti? I’ll be bringing plenty of biscotti to market, including customer favorites and a few irresistible treats. You’ll also find freshly baked scones made the morning of the market, gluten-friendly granola, lots of dry mixes (soups, breads, muffins, and desserts), and of course my whimsical wine gnomes. Whether you’re looking for something sweet, something cozy, or a unique gift, there’s a little something for everyone at the booth. Come early, say hello, and stock up on your favorites before they’re gone!

Garden Party Fibers: Garden Party Fibers will be there with several new shawls. Perfect for cool lakeside evenings. Hand knit with locally sourced wool and alpaca fibers, handspun and hand knit by me!

Lake City Bakers: Lake City Bakers will be bringing out a little of everything this week! We are making a ton of our Roasted Garlic Focaccia Breads. Summer doesn’t start without Strawberry Rhubarb Pies! Ours feature our own homegrown rhubarb. We are also bringing our Carrot Cakes with cream cheese frosting. For our gluten-free friends: Coconut Macaroons, Lemon Brownies, or our new Chocolate Peanut Butter Lunch Lady Bars! Don’t forget… Saturday is our last day with Hot Biscuits & Sausage Gravy until fall!

Graham Publishing: Summer’s on its way! Enjoy a relaxing book by Clark or Deb of Graham Publishing. We offer many genres, including several set in beautiful North Idaho. And TWO new ones! We’re right by the manager’s booth and we love to chat about books, reading, and writing.
