
Spring is in full swing! That means mid-warm days with that clear, invigorating sun warming the cool ground. Saturday and Wednesday are going to beautiful days for visiting the Markets, and we’re grateful to bring you all the brilliant spring produce, flowers, meats, eggs, craft goods, baked goodies, garden and landscape plants, delicious bites, live music, animal treats, smoked foods, handmade gifts, bodycare, and much more. We are a true farmers market, and everything here is produced or grown by the vendor presenting it. Come meet and know your farmers this season as we look forward to many more years with you.

FUNDrive at the Market!
Starting April 18th, Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets are hosting a FUNDrive! And we invite you to bring and drop off used items to donate, and we will be collecting every Saturday until June 18th. You can drop off your donations at booth 69, booth 70, or the Market Manager’s booth. See below for more information and what items we are accepting.
Every donation you bring supports the farmers’ markets and our community contribution. Please feel free to ask neighbors, friends, and coworkers for donations as well. #fundrive
Fresh from Farmers this Week:Produce: LOTS OF PLANT STARTS still available (last week for some farmers) – including tomato, pepper, cucumber, tomatillo, herbs and flowers; strawberry plants; flower bulbs; spring greens and veggies, including radishes, NEW salad turnips, spring and salad mixes, arugula and arugula mixes, NEW beets, NEW broccolini, carrots, kale, NEW chard, lettuce, Asian greens, spinach, rhubarb; and herbs, including dill, basil, and cilantro Meat Products: chicken and duck eggs, sausage, pork, beef Dairy: raw goat milk and chevre, raw cow milk and cheese, yogurt Floral: marigold starts, nasturtium starts, fresh-cut flower bouquets, PEONIES! Other: local honey, artisan fruit vinegars, farm-crafted salsas and jams, artisan soaps and bodycare products, and so much more! |

McKerracher Family Farm: We will have spring mix, arugula mix, radishes and salad turnips this Saturday at the Market. But, this will be the last week we will have live plants. Come find plants for your garden!
Killarney Farms: Paul and Ellen will be at the Market this weekend with sweet spring arugula, beets, carrots, broccolini, lettuce, salad mix, Asian greeens, spinach, salad turnips, radishes, kale, chard, cilantro, dill, rhubarb, and basil. Plant starts will include oregano and thyme, as well as some cucumbers and peppers. They will also be bringing raw goat milk.

Winifred Farms: Peonies have arrived at Winifred Farms. The heat has brought these beauties on a bit early this season, so our mixed bouquets will be real stunners this week! Combined with anemones, ranunculus, orlaya, geum, and blue wheat, this unique mix will not disappoint. Growers bunches of ranunculus, peonies, and orlaya will be available, and as always, the booth will be stuffed to the gills with an amazing array of color and joy. So come by even just to see our display and say hello! Booth #83, across from the manager’s booth.

Northern Latitude Foods – Coeur d’Alene Wild Rice: Welcome back to another great season of farm fresh foods! Have you seen us in the new issue of Coeur d’Alene Magazine? If you ever wanted to get a better look into how we harvest, pick up a magazine or stop by our booth to take a look. We are in booth 16 again this year, along Prairie Ave, with your favorite healthy rice. This versatile rice tastes great in anything from porridge and pancakes, to soups, salads, sides and more. A special “Thank you” to our Veterans this weekend and wishing you a Happy Memorial Day. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Lake City Bakers: Lake City Bakers is back at both markets with more of our Stuffed Cookies! Have you tried our Chicken Salad Sandwiches? Come see us for lunch AND dessert this Saturday!

Black Forest Bakery: Every Saturday we are having the original Vienna Apple Strudel 🍎 for you. This recipe is in my family for over 100 years. I got it from my grandmother who was vom Vienna and she got it from her mom. We serve it with our homemade vanilla sauce.

Kiss My Biscotti: Kiss My Biscotti is bringing back all the customer favorites this Saturday! Fresh from the oven you’ll find Mom’s Morning Biscotti, Lemon 🍋, Cranberry Orange 🍊, and Chunky Chocolate biscotti just to name a few; along with gluten friendly and vegan options. I’ll also have freshly baked scones made the morning of market, plus plenty of easy-to-make dry mixes including soups, breads, muffins, and desserts that you can take home and enjoy anytime. And of course, my whimsical wine gnomes will be joining me too for a little extra fun and charm, find us in Booth 7!
