Celebrate the end of the harvest season with us, Market Customers!
The Market’s Harvest Festival and last market of the harvest season takes place at Riverstone this Saturday, October 26, 10 am to 3pm. Our whole market will be there, plus lots of fun costumes on customers and their pets. It’s a lively fun market, and the last chance to stock up on seasonal produce until Winter Market in December. Scott Reid will be playing live music, and the Riverstone merchants will offer trick or treating from 11 am-3 pm.
Market Vendors Retiring
We have three beloved Market Vendors retiring after this season. We will miss you! Thank you for all the wonderful years, memories, and products and service you have provided to our Market and community.
Susi Faville, the Idaho Tomato Lady (Come see here at the Market this weekend!) – “All these years, selling at the Kootenai market has been a major part of my life. The vendors and customers are like family. I am so very grateful for all the smiles and encouragement I have received. I am proud of my contribution to helping this market thrive. I don’t think I can stay away next summer, but moving plants has become too much for this senior lady, so please come out to the nursery in Pinehurst in May and June to get your tomatoes and flowers. And thanks so much for all these wonderful years!”
Marlene Stanley, Good Shepherd Lamb – “Good Shepherd Lamb Co. has had a presence at the Hayden Farmers Market for the past 20 years. I speak for myself and my late husband Gordon. We consider ourselves truly blessed by being a part of the market family. We were given a plan to produce the best tasting lamb in North Idaho on our farm in Bonner’s Ferry. Grilling for our customers palates each Saturday and providing clean, farm raised lamb for them to purchase was our goal. The rest is history! So many relationships have been built and we converted a few hundred lamb burger lovers along the way. Thank you all for helping us meet this goal ”
Dan and Kim Cooper, Idaho Chair Man – Dan rang the closing bell last Saturday for the last time after 25 years at Market. He served on the Board, headed Facilities for years, and Kim updated our white board weekly. Dan’s chairs and Kim’s clever cut outs have a huge following. It’s been fun to watch creativity evolve in their booth over the years. They are semi retiring, as they are still taking orders but slowing down somewhat. You can contact them via Facebook at Idaho Chair Man, and they will sell at our Winter Market December 7. We will miss their beautiful handiwork and giving spirits!

Tea.Health.Honey: Thank you to everyone that has stopped by and visited the Tea Lady, and supported my small business ~ Tea.Health.Honey! This has been an incredible first market season, as my tea line-up keeps growing – 18 teas, leaves, and tisanes so far (!) plus a chocolaty chai and a mushroom blend are both coming soon! I had no idea my custom blended Tea Bar would become so popular, and to help customers balance blood sugar, sleep better, feel better, and reduce inflammation has been incredible to see and hear from feedback and requested refills. The market is ending for the season, but Tea.Health.Honey is just beginning up here in North Idaho! Thank you so much! Make sure you stop by and try our new local infused raw honey’s to support your immune system this upcoming cold/flu winter season.
Reminder: Bring your market basket for your shopping or a box for your plants. Our vendors also appreciate small cash bills, especially if you are shopping early.
On Stage Saturday:
