Wow, do we have a weekend of goodies, glitter, and delight for you! Our Winter Market is this Saturday, December 7th, 10 am to 3 pm at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. This year, we have so many of your favorite vendors, we will be spread out into multiple buildings for your exploring and shopping enjoyment. Here is a map and guide to help you find everyone.
Enter off of Government Way through the Main Gate where there is free parking and free admission to the Market, and we’ll direct you to the vendors you’re looking for. The Outdoor Food Court will feature Aebleskivers, Carpe Diem Crepes, and warm drinks from Idahome Espresso. There will be live music from Bill Bozly, and don’t miss the free cookies and coffee (Building 4) and a chance to win one of our fabulous raffle baskets (Building 2).
All the vendors are busy getting products and produce ready for Saturday’s Winter Farmers’ Market. This is your chance to stock up before the holidays with eggs, meat, gourmet cheeses, candies, cookies, honey, breads, jams, salsa, fresh seasonal produce like microgreens, onions and garlic and probably winter squash leeks and carrots, fresh juice, herb plants and dried herbs, pickles, mulling spices, lavender sachets and a large variety of beautifully made clever crafts and gift ideas. Here are messages from some of our vendors…
TerraTopia: We will have a variety of raw goat milk aged hard cheeses, feta, and marinated feta. We will also have our usual selection of jams and jellies including 3 types of hot pepper, garlic, caramel apple, cran-apple, and elderberry. All great for holiday entertaining and gifts!
Mountain View Farm, “The Tomato Lady”: I’m bringing my small batch jalapeno, huckleberry, and fruit jams, cranberry and huckleberry breads, pumpkin/cream cheese roll ups, mulling spices, fresh leeks and garlic, dried herbs and seeds from my garden, and decorated fresh wreaths. Find me in the back corner of building 3!
Willow Wood Honey Farm: Willow Wood Honey Farm will be in building 3 and will have lots of $10 gift bags. These cute little bags are ready for gift giving and come in themes like Huckleberry, Lavender, Gardener, Idaho, Pamper Me or Happy Dog. Stop by early for best selection.
Kerr Microgreens: Happy Holidays to you all! We are bringing 49+ trays of live microgreens to harvest fresh for you and your families Also, we will bring microgreen growing kits. These make great stocking stuffers or small gifts for kids and adults alike.
Blue Wildrye Farm: We’ll be in Building 20! Walk up orders and pre-order pickup available. Smoke our all grass-fed and finished beef briskets low and slow for a smoky, melt-in-your-mouth, tender feast. It will make your holiday meal one to remember! $12/lb. Marrow & Tallow: We will be present with beef and bison tallow, as well as Collagen Cream!
Stormin’ Norman Beef Jerky: We will have smoked jerky, sausages, and cheese – perfect for snacking and entertaining!
Pamelot Lavender: I am bringing all kinds of lavender heating pads, sprays, bouquets, wreaths, sachets, and dryer bags.
Mohr Lavender Farm: We will have Lavender Pepper, Herbs de Provence, Mohr Seasoning, lavender extract, lavender bitters, a cocktail kit, grilling kit, and lavender essential oil.
Graham Publishing: Who doesn’t love a new book by a local author? Books make terrific gifts and Clark and Deb of Graham Publishing have written nearly 90, including seven set in North Idaho, and two of your favorite new Christmas stories ( you just don’t know it yet). We have mysteries, historical fiction, sci-fi/fantasy, cruise travel, romance, and several young adult books, waiting for you!
Clare’s Garden: Marie will be selling her soaps and bodycare products in Building 7!
Garden Party Fibers: I will be there with hand knit hats with handspun yarn. My yarn is spun from local sheep and alpaca wool. I’ll also have shawls to keep you warm and cozy this winter. They also make truly special gifts.
Simply Sweet Cottage Treats: We will have assorted cookie bags, small cookie holiday jars filled with cookies, and tins filled with goodies. Our roll flavors will be: cinnamon, lemon curd, blueberry lemon curd, caramel nut, egg nog, and cranberry orange. We will also be making a limited amount of snowflake shaped cinnamon rolls.
Hard Crack Toffee: ‘Tis the season! Stop by the Hard Crack Toffee booth and pick up everyone’s holiday favorite treat, delicious mouthwatering English toffee in many yummy flavors. Don’t forget the toffee popcorn too, made special at this time of the year.
Dandelion Half Acre: Dandelion Half Acre will be back with lots of cookies and new, fresh from the garden herb salts and sugars. The scape salt is extra good this year. Gift packs for you and your friends too. Hope to see you there! Jan and Ray
Kiss My Biscotti: We will have lots of Savory and Sweet Biscotti, freshly baked scones for Saturday morning, lots of dry mixes from breads, muffins, to soups for all those cold winter days headed our way, and we will have our wine gnomes for those perfect Christmas gifts. We are in Building 7, see you there!
