A Few Market Reminders

Deerfield Farms: Garlic Scapes are a-plenty at market. We will be bringing some and are enjoying them as well! Last weekend, we made Scape Butter, Scape Cream Cheese and Scape Pesto (the best of the three!). If you enjoy garlic, you will enjoy the delightful, crazy looking, somewhat milder taste of the bulb to come.
Killarney Farms: Paul and Ellen will be at the Saturday Market with beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, chard, garlic scapes, green onions, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, salad mix, new potatoes, snap peas, snow peas, shelling peas, radishes, salad turnips, strawberries, dill, cilantro, parsley, basil, raw goat’s milk, and chevre. See you there!
Blue Wildrye Farm: Strawberry season is one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it gifts of summer—and we’re celebrating it with Fruit on Top Strawberry Yogurt. We start with our cream-top raw A2A2 Jersey milk yogurt, then add a luscious strawberry compote made with ripe, local, peak-season berries. It’s sweet, tangy, creamy, and fresh all at once—the kind of simple summer treat that feels special without being fussy. Scoop it, stir it, or swirl it—there’s really no wrong answer. This flavor will only be available while local strawberries are available, so we strongly recommend pre-ordering if you want to make sure a jar comes home with you. Order cutoff for Saturday market pickup: Thursday at 11:59 PM before market day.

Mohr Lavender Please: The lavender is blooming! Fresh English lavender bouquet!! At Mohr Lavender Please booth!

Northern Latitude Foods | Coeur d’Alene Wild Rice: Looking for something gluten free? Wild rice is naturally gluten free and the perfect addition to your Father’s Day meal. It’s also considered a SuperFood full of antioxidants, B vitamins, iron, fiber, protein and is also a low glycemic and an anti-inflammatory food. Our products are simply all around healthy, tasty, and nutritious! Wild rice is good for the environment too, because the plant helps to keep the lake clean, feeds the wild life, and is wild harvested. That means nature grew it, and we are just taking a small portion of it and leaving the rest to fall into the lake and plant its seeds for next year. Stop by and enjoy one of nature’s best foods that is native to North America.
Garden Party Fibers: Of course I don’t have strawberries at my booth, but I do have a handknit strawberry-red sweater, hats, and mitt, as well as red handspun yarn from local sheep and alpaca. Booth 12. – Juaquetta

Animal Party Rabbitry + North Idaho Fragrance Company: This Saturday, there will be dwarf bunnies at the Market to hold and for sale! These little furry bundles are natural stress relief and a fun activity for the kids. North Idaho Fragrance will also have a selection of all-natural botanical perfumes to try and purchase.
