PoP Club is back!
The Kootenai County Farmers Market is bringing back the much loved children’s program PoP Club! PoP (Power of Produce) is a free program designed to introduce children to healthy fruits, vegetables, and food-bearing plants. The PoP Club booth offers hands-on activities designed to teach children how to grow and prepare their own food.
We are raising money to fund our PoP Club activity for children this summer at market. Donations to Friends of the Market are tax deductible. Will you please help us fund this amazingly worthwhile program to connect children with farmers and real food? The money goes to pay a facilitator and for tokens that the children take to our vendors for fresh produce or plants. We are hoping to raise enough money to operate PoP Club from mid June through August. It’s a great program and a total win-win for everyone!!! We also need volunteers to work the booth on Saturdays in June and July. Even one Saturday would help.
