Juaquetta has been selling her hand spun yarns at the Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets since 2006. The wool and alpaca she uses are sourced from small, local farms. She does all the processing herself — from washing the wool and dyeing, to spinning it into one-of-a-kind rustic yarns.

She also creates knit and crochet patterns for her yarns. In her booth you will find a rainbow of unique yarn, as well as hats, scarves, and shawls  — all handmade by Juaquetta.

She learned to spin yarn in 1992 while living in Minnesota, and her BS degree in Home Economics from Iowa State University, gives a good foundation.

Her workshop is located on the Washington-Idaho state line, and looks out over the north Idaho mountains. As she spins, she watches the sky over the mountains — from sunrise to sunset, cloudy and clear skies, the view is always amazing. Inspiration comes from life.
