Meet Our Farmers, Producers & Artisans
My name is Randy and I grew up in the Midwest and have been a plant nut since around age seven. I retired from the Marine Corps and that provided me an opportunity to visit many countries and meet interesting people. It also gave me the chance to check out some very extraordinary plants. I was able to propagate and grow many strange and beautiful plants in my off time while stationed in various parts of the world.
My passion is succulents and cacti, but I also really enjoy houseplants, tropicals and carnivorous plants…the freakier, the better!
This season I will have air plants, Strings of Pearls, Dolphins, Hearts, Teardrops, and Turtles, Venus Flytraps, Voodoo Lilies, Zig Zag Cactus, some hard to find Hoya varieties, and I might have a Pink Princess Philodendron or two. That is in addition to over 120 other varieties of succulents, houseplants and tropicals that I grow.
I also put together plant displays in the form of terrariums, terra cotta pots and bowls, and am creative with incorporating plants in repurposing vintage items. I make a product called the Knotty Cube which is a unique planter box containing succulents not only growing out of the top, but out of knot holes in the sides as well. I also make the Propagation Station which is designed to root your plant cuttings. Other unique items I manufacture include birdhouses with succulents planted on the roof, wooden boxes to insert 4″ potted plants into, living wall art frames containing plants to hang on your wall, custom wooden crates, and picnic tables for chickens and squirrels.
I love talking plants and enjoy hearing stories of your progress in growing your cuttings . Please stop by and check out the unique things I have to offer.
My inventory is always changing so be sure to check back weekly. You never know what you will find in my booth.
