Fresh flowers, creamy cold cheeses, juicy berries and veggies, frosty acai bowls, cold-pressed juices, iced tea and coffee, and cool cream pies, refreshing fruit wines, iced herbal teas and coffees, bountiful tree shade (Saturday), cooling stations (Wedneday)…we have all the things to keep you cool in the bight and sunny outdoors this week. Before you head down to the lake, come shop with us on Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:30 pm in Hayden, and on Wednesday, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, stop by our Riverstone Market in CDA before taking a dip in the river at Atlas Park. WEDNESDAY MARKET IS KIDS’ DAY!
We are all about encouraging entrepreneurial farmers and producers, and Wednesday, July 24th at Riverstone, is our first Kids’ Day Market of the season. Kids apply for a vendor booth and bring items they’ve crafted, grown, or produced. We get to support and encourage them, and they get to experience what it’s like to be a Market vendor. Come support our young entrepreneurs and farmers!
Pamelot Lavender: Pam is one of our beloved long-time vendors, and she will be bringing her first lavender of the season this weekend!
Riley Creek Blueberry Farm: Sure, they had a limited amount of blueberries last weekend. But this weekend, they will have a ton more freshly-picked blueberries!
Beauty Bay Winery: This season they will be offering Huckleberry, Marionberry, Blackcap, and Apricot fruit wines all handcrafted and 100% natural, as always. Coming soon: Concord Grape wine along with Dry Raspberry. Try a sample at their booth!
Blue Wildrye Farm: July is National Grilling Month! Celebrate with succulent grass-fed and -finished steak. Our steaks are always the first cuts to sell out, so pre-order online or stop by our Market booth early so you don’t miss out. Bone-in beef Rib Steaks are $23/lb and New York Strip Steaks are $21/lb. We also have Brisket, Chuck Roast, Jerky, Ribs, Ground Beef, Beef Bones, Liver, and a wealth of Pork cuts.
Kerr Microgreens: Saturday, We will have LEMON BASIL again, along with our standard menu. We will also be introducing two new crops this Wednesday, 7/24…BOK CHOY CABBAGE and HONG VIT RADISH, delicious varieties to sample!
Ramstead Ranch: Ramstead Ranch has good ol’ 100% Grassfed ground beef on sale this month. Save $2/lb!! Frozen and sold in 1 lb packages, you can grab just one, or load up your market bag. Simply Sweet Cottage Treats: This Saturday we will be at market with our Classic brown butter brioche cinnamon rolls, raspberry cream rolls, lemon curd rolls, blueberry compote with lemon curd filling rolls, bourbon caramel rolls, and some cookies and brownies. This will be the only Market where you can shop with us this month, so come and grab your favorite goodies!

Puzo’s Pelmeni (in the Food Court!): It’s another toasty day at the market! This week we will be serving our Beef and Cheese Piroshki, Smoked Salmon Piroshki, Deconstructed Strawberry Piroshki, Trubohki (like a cannoli) with vanilla creme, Stuffed Peppers, and our Take-and-Bake Smoked Salmon Pot Pies. To keep you hydrated we will have refreshing Kompot and Sparkling White Russians. See you Saturday for another wonderful day at the market!
Make sure you visit the food court and grab something delicous to eat or drink, and don’t forget all the scrumptious regular and gluten-free baked goods our baking vendors have to offer.

Excellent as a side dish to any grill or topped with pesto chicken, this salad will keep your meal cool.
- 5 oz fresh arugula (about 6 cups)
- 3 red, golden, striped, or a mix of beets steamed, roasted, or pickled
- 1/2 cup toasted pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup farmers market goat cheese crumbles
- 1 Tbs everything bagel seasoning
- 3 Tbs balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tbs Dijon or mustard
- 1 Tbs plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 Tbs local honey
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Add all the dressing ingredients to a jar with a lid and shake to combine. You can also whisk until emulsified.

Cut the cooked beets into cubes.

In a large salad bowl, toss the arugula with the dressing. Top with the beets, pumpkin seeds, and crumbled goat cheese. Sprinkle evenly with the seasoning.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
