Prep for Labor Day Weekend at the Market

Shop Labor Day Weekend with us, Market Customers! 

Kid’s Day was a huge success! Thank you for coming out and supporting all our young vendors and promoting their entrepreneurial spirits

And now, kids are headed back to school, and Labor Day Weekend is a last hurrah before the school schedules set in. Come shop with us this holiday on Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:30 pm at our Hayden location and then again next Wednesday, 4:00 – 7:00 pm at our Riverstone Market in CDA.

SAVE  THE DATE: On Wednesday, September 11th, we will be hosting a canned food/household goods drive on called “Fill The Truck!.” This drive is a partnership with Newby-Ginnings to collect and donate these goods to veterans and their families. We invite you to join us in supporting these valuable humans. See below for needed items.

Fresh from Our Farmers This Week: PRODUCE: arugula, beets, broccoli, broccolini, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, chard, collards, corn, mixed Asian greens, baby bok choy, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, garlic, Walla Walla and red onions, lettuce, kale, green beans, Romano beans, peppers (wide assortment), potatoes, rutabagas, tomatoes (many types), zucchini, summer squash, leeks, and more! FLOWERS: gladiolas, sunflowers, summer flower bouquets, wildflowers, and more! HERBS: lavender, parsley, cilantro, dill, basil, and more! FRUITS: blueberries, plums, and melons!  EGGS: chicken and duck DAIRY: cold, fresh, raw goat and cow milk and cheeses – Killarney will have goat’s milk and chevre! locally-grown mushrooms microgreens cut-to-order flower baskets and hanging pots fresh-cut flower bouquets, including gladiolas, sunflowers, and summer bouquets from Killarney grassfed beef, chicken, and pork local honey And so much more!

Ramstead Ranch: Ramstead Ranch has the delicious pasture-raised meats for your outdoor cookouts. Best part? Enjoy savings on some special items for the grill at the Saturday market. Pork chops, flank steak, chicken breasts, ground beef, and more are all on sale. We are bringing LOADS to help you get ready for the long weekend – it’s going to be delicious!

Eagle’s Dell Farm: Eagle’s Dell Farm will be there with Labor Day Weekend goodies including: ice cold raw cow milk, cream, yogurt, mozzarella, sourdough and buttermilk crust pizza kits, fresh baked crackers, herbed fresh cheeses, chevre (goat milk cheese), sour cream, caramel sauce, and farm fresh free-range eggs!

Northern Latitude Foods: This will be our last weekend and Wednesday market for a few weeks. We will be starting harvest around the 9th and will be busy harvesting away. If anyone is interested in seeing how we do it, feel free to swing by Heyburn State park and say hello!

Blue Wildrye Farm: What’s going on your grill this Labor Day Weekend? We’ve got you covered! Beauty Bay Winery: In addition to Dry Raspberry, we are adding our semi-dry Concord Grape to our wine line up! Stop by and try a sample, then pick up a bottle for your Labor Day BBQ. We also have Huckleberry, Marionberry, Blackcap, and Apricot fruit wines this weekend, all handcrafted and 100% natural, as always.

Lake City Bakers: Lake City Bakers is well known for a few things, two of them being their jumbo stuffed cookies and whoopie pies! This weekend they will have 6 available flavors including the famous Brownie Cookie Dough Sandwich!

 

 

Graham Publishing: Transitions require downtime! With the weather changing and kids back to school, you want a place to rest your mind. Pick up a new book from Clark and Deb, local authors of over 80 books! Various genres, all clean and wholesome, just the kind of escapism you’re looking for..whether you realize it or not. Books also make terrific gifts!

Sweet Ember Candle Co.: It’s September! Well, one more day – but that means pumpkin spice is on the menu! This weekend, we will be featuring Pumpkin Persimmon, Orchard Walk, and Pumpkin Dessert candles. Come shop the scents of fall and harvest seasons!

Marrow & Tallow: Marrow & Tallow will be selling at the Saturday and Wednesday markets this week! We’ll be running an anniversary promotion celebrating our 1 year in business: Buy 2 get $10 off, and $5 off each additional jar.

Kiss My Biscotti: Kiss My Biscotti will have freshly-baked Huckleberry and Lemon Scones as well as Huckleberry and Lemon Biscotti. You will want to get them before they are gone for this season! We will also have Morning Biscotti which is packed full of apricots and pecans, Lemon Biscotti, Cranberry and Orange Biscotti, Chocolate and Orange Biscotti, Vegan Vanilla Biscotti, Savory Parmesan and Rosemary Biscotti, and Savory Black Pepper and Parmesan Biscotti!

The Wellness Bar Food Truck (in the Food Court): Join The Wellness Bar at the Farmers Market this Saturday for a refreshing treat from our Food Truck! It’s your last summer hurrah– come enjoy delicious acai bowls, smoothies and cold-pressed juice with us!

Reminder: Bring your market basket for your shopping or a box for your plants. Our vendors also appreciate small cash bills, especially if you are shopping early.
