Enjoy Kids Week Activities & Family Fun, Market Customers!
It’s Kids Week at the Saturday Market! We have four kids setting up booths this year – a couple of jewelry makers, a baker, and a pipe cleaner sculptor. In addition to PoP Club (see below), we will also have several fun activities for kids to create and take home their creations.
Drop by the PoP Club booth this week to learn about the Terrific Tomato! Then, taste yummy currant tomatoes that were generously donated by market vendor Deerfield Farms.
Reminder: the $2 PoP Club tokens that kids earn at PoP Club can only be used at the market to buy fresh produce or a produce producing plant. Be sure to look for PoP Club signs at the booths to confirm that a vendor is participating in our program. |
Summer isn’t over! We have mountains of fresh produce, and the cooler weather is making our greens so sweet. See below for what’s fresh this week and check out our kid-friendly recipe, a great after-school snack to make at home.
Plums, peaches, and nectarines are plentiful on Saturday and Wednesday. Get them before they’re gone!
