The Season is Fresh, Market Customers!
PoP Club needs volunteers! If you have a couple of hours on a Saturday morning, come hang with us and teach kids about produce in fun, interesting ways.
This week at PoP Club we’ll be offering another “2-Bite Produce Challenge!” – our second one of the summer. These challenges are a great opportunity for kids to try farm-fresh produce and discover new fruits or vegetables they may have never tasted before! The $2 PoP Club tokens that kids earn at PoP Club can only be used at the market to buy fresh produce or a produce producing plant. Be sure to look for PoP Club signs at the booths to confirm that a vendor is participating in our program. |
The Market has everything you need to stay fresh this weekend. From fresh produce to fresh flowers, farm-made jams, pickled vegetables, freshly-baked bread, a myriad of baked goods, sweets and savories, cold drinks, fresh eggs, food made to order, and so much more. And Cliffside Orchards will be at the market with fresh, juicy stonefruit. Those apricots went fast last week! Check out below for a complete list of what’s FRESH.
With the sun and heat come stink and sweat…it can’t be helped! Living Earth Naturals has all-natural, plant-based, baking soda-free deodorants in biodegradable packaging that are effective, gentle, and safe. They’re made with organic oils and beeswax and come in 8 fresh essential oil scents. Ancient Alchemy Apothecary has a variety of hydrosols to keep you cool and healthy in spite of the temperatures. Our henna artist beautifies and nourishes your skin with her designs, and our resident face painting artist will give you or your kids face art to last the day. Enjoy summer and good company with flair and confidence!
Lone Mountain Farms’ beers are small-batch and typically only around for a little while when in season. This week, they’ll have cans of their Kale Pale Ale – with two ounces of kale per pint, you can get your greens and drink beer too!
H-Brand Plants will have a small assortment of succulents growing in 3D pots, along with knotty cubes, propagation stations, and a wide variety of tropical and succulent plants, including Voodoo lilies, airplants, and varieties of Hoya. They also sell unique, hand-crafted cedar birdhouses and feeders. Check them out as well as Bonsai Bob’s bonsai trees!

Juicy peaches. Plump blueberries. No oven needed dessert. Yes, please.
- 5 cups chopped fresh summer peaches + 1/2 cup for topping
- 1 cup fresh blueberries or huckleberries + 1/2 cup for topping
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1-2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp just melted coconut oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3/4 cup raw almonds
- 1 cup raw, shelled pistachios
- 1 cup pitted and packed Medjool dates
- pinch of sea salt
-
Make crumble first: process ingredients in a food processor using the “S” blade, until ingredients stick together. Don’t over process or you will make nut butter! Chill.
-
For filling, add 2 cups of the peaches with the lemon juice, ginger, coconut oil and honey to a blender and puree. Place the puree in a bowl and gently mix in the remaining 3 cups peaches and 1 cup blueberries until combined. Place in a glass dish and chill for 6 hours.
-
Top with the crumble topping and garnish with the extra peaches, blueberries, and strawberries. To serve, scoop into individual bowls and top with ice cream, whipped cream, or a drizzle of non-dairy creamer.
