Sample a taste of the market, Market Customers!
You’re invited to join us this Saturday for our first ever monthly Farm to Table cooking demonstration at the market! From 10am to 12pm next to Good Shepherd Lamb Company, we will be showcasing and sampling Good Shepherd’s smoked leg of lamb, Sheppard Fruit Wine’s Rhubarb Wine, Plant Patch Products’ berry jellies and vinaigrettes (on a market salad), ZIVIO!’s Artisan Fruit Vinegars, and more. Taste the market, get to know our producers and farmers, pick up a new recipe (no recipe this week in the Fresh Sheet), and ask questions about our products. We look forward to meeting you!
Spring produce is so fresh and sweet! See our “What’s Fresh” section below to discover what produce will be available from your farmer this week.
Rider Mushrooms will be bringing the following mushrooms to market this Saturday: Sky Blue Oyster, Nilla Oyster, King of Pearl Oyster, and Indian Oyster.
While we are an agriculture focused market, our craft vendors have some pretty wonderful products that they bring to the market. Have you browsed their stalls yet this season?
Food Corner
It’s all about the savory this week – and a few drinks.
Black Forest Bakery will have Potato Strudel made with their own homegrown potatoes! The puff pastry is filled with leeks, bacon, potatoes and spices, and then topped with bacon and poppyseeds.
Simply Sweet Cottage Treats is going savory with garlic parmesan, roasted tomato pesto and traditional pasta rolls as well as bacon cheddar scones, corn muffins with hatch green chili and sharp cheddar, and brown butter and salted pretzels.
Coffee Roboto will be at the Wednesday market next week with iced drinks: cold brew coffees, mochas, Pineapple Matcha, and Oat Chai Lattes.
And you won’t want to miss the horchata and agua fresca from Cultura CDA.
Reminder: Bring your market basket for your shopping or a box for your plants. Our vendors also appreciate small cash bills, especially if you are shopping early.
