Royal Highlands Produce: Happy Fourth of July from Royal Highlands! Be sure to stop by our booth this weekend to pick up some amazing fresh veggies for your celebration events. We will have fresh garlic, zucchini, lettuce, spinach, carrots, beets, kale, salad mix, green onions, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, fresh red and sweet onions, and more. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Killarney Farms: Killarney will be at the Market this week with fresh basil, arugula, peas, cabbage, potatoes, zucchini, raspberries, carrots, beets, lettuce, kale, chard, cauliflower, strawberries, green beans, salad turnips, and more.
Mohr Lavender: We will have fresh English lavender bundles at booth 55 this weekend!
Lor Gardens: I will have some fresh huckleberries this weekend, just in time for a red, white and blue celebration.
Dandelion Half Acre: We will be at the Market on Saturday with lots of cookies and delicious fresh herb salts. See you then!
Kerr Microgreens: We will have live trays of: sunflower, pea, radishes, wasabi mustard, amaranth, basils, cilantro and CANTALOUPE! For a special treat, visit Black Forest Bakery to try her Cantaloupe Cream Puffs using our microgreens🤩🌱 We will also have freeze dried microgreens, powdered, or crushed. Willow Wood Honey Farm: It’s finally that time of year… Huckleberries, sun kissed lips and summertime in North Idaho! Protect those lips with some yummy huckleberry flavored chapstick from Willow Wood Honey Farm. Chapstick is also available in lavender and honey flavors as well. Just $4 each or 3/$10.
Lake City Bakers: The Lake City Bakers gals are making breakfast simple this holiday weekend. Pick up an Apple or Apple Huckleberry Coffee Cake to slice up! It even tastes great warmed up with a scoop of ice cream on top for a simple summer dessert. We will also have plenty of our Veggie Focaccia Breads ready to grab to go with dinner. Happy 4th of July! Sweet, salty, savory, refreshing - this quirky salad transforms summer.
- 1 small watermelon, cut into chunks
- 2 tsp dried or fresh culinary lavender buds
- 1 Tbs avocado oil
- 1 pint blueberries
- 8 oz crumbly local goat cheese or feta
- basil or pea Kerr Microgreens
- 3 Tbs avocado oil
- 1 Tbs apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp tamari or soy sauce

In a medium serving bowl, toss the watermelon and lavender with 1 Tbs of oil until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

For the dressing, whisk together the oil, vinegar and tamari until somewhat emulsified. Stir in a pinch of salt.

Add the blueberries and crumbled cheese to the bowl with the watermelon and lavender. Drizzle with the dressing and sprinkle with the microgreens. Serve chilled and enjoy!
