Cooling and Creamy Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup filtered water or juice of choice
  • 1/2 banana, fresh or sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries of your choice
  • 2-3 kale leaves, torn and with stems
  • small handful fresh parsley
  • thumbnail size fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • ice (optional, if only using fresh fruits)
  • 1-2 tbsp plant-based protein powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the water or juice to the bottom of the blender. Top with the fruit, greens, ginger, and lemon juice. Top that with the ice and protein powder, if using.

  2. Blend until smooth and frosty. Enjoy immediately!
